Strode Park House is a 19th Century Victorian Manor House set in 14 acres of beautiful grounds in the picturesque village of Herne, Kent. We are a nursing and residential home offering both long and short-term care for adults aged 18 and upwards.

As a Home Care and Support Assistant within the local community you will provide personal care, physical and social support to individuals so that they can achieve an appropriate level of independence, well-being and choice in line with their aspirations and abilities. You will fully participate in ensuring the individuals gain confidence and self esteem whilst being aware of their limitations. You will also support the aims and objectives of the Foundation and play a full and active part in the community so that at all times this post, either directly or indirectly, is providing the highest standard of care to people who use our services.

You\'ll need the following skills and qualities:

o Have a strong interest in working in Adult care services and a desire to make a difference.
o Level 2 qualification in Health and Social care or a willingness to work towards it within 12 months of being in post.
o Be honest, reliable and trustworthy.
o Must be able to meet the working pattern demanded by the post.
o Able to clearly communicate with the service users.
o Be enthusiastic, caring, friendly and compassionate.
o Have a clean driving licence and access to own vehicle in order to assist service users in the community by taking them shopping, day outings and to GP/Dentist appointments.


We provide home care on a 24 hour basis, 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays. This means we need reliable and flexible staff working within our services.

Please only apply for the role if you are willing and able to work shifts of up to 13 hours, weekends and bank holidays. Shift patterns vary but are often as below:

8am - 8pm, 8am - 9pm 9am - 6pm, 8pm - 8am, 9pm - 8am
