The Victory Academy requires a Catering Assistant to work in the busy school kitchen. You will be required to assist the cooks in the preparation, cooking and serving of food & beverages and to ensure that the kitchen is kept in a hygienic condition.


There may be the possibility of additional overtime in the evenings and at the weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

To assist cooks in the preparation, cooking and serving of food & beverages and to ensure that kitchen is kept in a hygienic condition
Maintaining required hygiene standards to include washing up and cleaning of premises equipment, canteen and kitchen areas
To promote healthy eating to students
Till/cashless system operation.
To serve food and beverages and to ensure service areas are clean and orderly at all times.
To operate catering equipment and machinery as required, after appropriate instruction.
Report as appropriate any issues to your line manager (Catering Manager)
Contribute to the overall ethos, aims and work of the Academy
To understand and comply with the Academy’s child protection guidelines
Maintain confidentiality at all times and to observe Data Protection guidelines
