Pilgrims Hospices has been providing end of life care and support for patients with a range of life limited illness and their families across east Kent for more than 35 years, at our 3 Hospice sites in Canterbury, Thanet and Ashford. The Community Fundraising Officer at the Canterbury Hospice will help develop and grow voluntary income from the local community within the Canterbury catchment area, through third party and individuals fundraising, groups, corporate and local organisations and developing the charity events programme, its products and partnerships. The post holder will support the fundraising activities to the highest standards, providing donors with the best possible experience, first class support and with opportunities to participate in a range other fundraising initiatives to enable our nurses and medical teams to be there for the next family that needs Pilgrims support.

The charity is looking for an exceptional team player to motivate volunteers and supporters of the hospice. We are interested to hear from applicants who are have at least two years experience of working in a fundraising/marketing or business development/sales role and skills that are transferable to the charity sector. The role also requires a full driving licence and access to own transport and willingness to work weekends and evenings as required to support our donors and the charity fundraising initiatives.
