Exam Invigilators (Hadlow College and Outcentres)

£6.50 per hour, or National Minimum Wage

Hadlow, Tonbridge and Malling, Kent

Hadlow College

Do you want to work for a dynamic and growing organisation? The Hadlow Group provides excellence in education through its Colleges in Kent; Hadlow College, West Kent College and Ashford College, and offers a range of further and higher education and professional courses in land based and general subjects.

Hadlow College runs exams over most of the academic year. To ensure compliance with awarding organisation rules, the College Exams Department needs to increase its “pool” of invigilators.

Are you looking for part-time work in an educational environment, but not looking for regular employment? Hadlow College require invigilators to work on a casual basis throughout the year, covering exams at its main Hadlow site and at the out-centres at Canterbury, Mottingham and Greenwich.

We are looking for a reliable, calm person to ensure the smooth running of the College examination sessions in accordance with awarding organisation regulations and guidelines.

Training will be provided, however experience of invigilating online examinations or similar activities would be advantageous. Invigilators will need excellent communication and organisational skills and be PC literate and confident using IT, but not necessarily an expert. You will need to have GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English, or Level 2 in numeracy and literacy, or equivalent.

The successful candidates will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) and to provide proof of their right to work in the UK.

The job description and application form can be downloaded from our website, www.hadlow.ac.uk. Alternatively, you can request an application pack by emailing jobs@hadlow.ac.uk or telephoning 01732 853977.

The closing date for applications is Friday, 6th December 2019.

When applying for this role, please reference this job board as your application source when asked.

Due to the volume of applications we receive it is impossible to inform all applicants if they have been short listed: therefore if you have not heard from us within 14 days of the closing date you can assume that you have not been successful.

For more information please contact jobs@hadlow.ac.uk in the first instance or call 01732 853977 if you would like to discuss this further.

Hadlow College is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.
