About us

Our Domestic Abuse service provides short term housing and tenancy related support to women who have experienced domestic violence and abuse. The service is currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Support Officer to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced support officers' who enjoy a varied role.

About the role

You will provide invaluable practice and support to women and their children such as advocacy, support and guidance around welfare, housing and legal entitlements as well as supporting women to move to safe and permanent accommodation.

As a Support Officer you will play a key role in delivering a quality service and achieving positive outcomes. You will be a positive role model and you will bring our values to life and share our passion and commitment to always strive to find creative ways to enrich the lives of those we support.

About you

You'll have experience of providing support and advice with health and safety issues, managing a tenancy, accessing legal services and claiming welfare benefits. You'll also have a proven track record of providing a comprehensive housing-related support service to women suffering from issues relating to domestic abuse and acting as a key worker for specific service users.

Due to the nature of the role applicants are required to have a patient, caring and sensitive approach.
