About the role: Leigh Academies Trust has a rare and exciting management opportunity within our central Estates Team. We are now recruiting for the role of Deputy Estates Director; reporting directly to the Estates Director for the Trust, you will be responsible for leading on the strategic estate and facilities management across the LAT portfolio. You will deputise for the Estates Director, provide leadership support across the Estates function and will provide advice and guidance to the central Estates Team. Our successful candidate will join us as early as possible in the new year, i.e January 2020, but we can be flexible depending on the appointed person’s notice period. Our successful candidate will be based predominantly in our Head Office in Strood, Rochester with regular travel between our academy sites. Note that travel is reimbursed in line with LAT’s expenses policy.
The remuneration offered is £50-60k per annum (commensurate with experience), 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays which increases based on length of service, and an attractive pension plan.

Working with Leigh Academies Trust: As of September 2019, our Trust is comprised of 25 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 13 primaries and 1 special) educating over 15,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff. We also have three further academies in development phase, due to open between September 2020-2021. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway. In addition, the Trust is responsible for one of the region’s biggest initial teaching training providers and a large teaching school.
