This is an exciting time within Southborough Town Council with its new Hub Development due to be opening in the spring of 2021 and the many new opportunities this will bring.

Southborough Town Council is currently looking for a motivated individual to act as our temporary Office Administrator to cover for the current postholder during maternity leave.

You will need to be able to effectively communicate by telephone, in writing and face to face when and if safe to do so within the current crisis.

Ideally candidates should have experience in local government although this is not essential.

You will need a sound knowledge of both Microsoft Word and Excel. Facilities experience would also be an advantage.

The Council considers this to be a customer focused role and good spoken English is fundamental to the role.

This will be a Full-time (temporary) role and will initially be for 9 months to cover maternity leave but may be extended to 12 months. (Due to the current situation interviews will be conducted virtually and you will initially work remotely)

Starting salary is from £23,369 per annum.
