SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE/BROKER - PROPERTY/POLITICAL VIOLENCE - to £70,000

City based Lloyds Broker is seeking a Senior Account Executive/Broker responsible for managing a portfolio of new and renewal business including the placement and servicing of the accounts

Reporting to the Head of Team and Division for the management of all Account Servicing, renewal and related activities to; achieve the performance targets of the Divisional business plan, maintain local compliance, regulatory and quality practice standards and develop/introduce new and existing business.



Quoting, Placement and Post Contract Alteration

* Analyse and provide advice on risk and insurance issues and structure appropriate coverage.
* Placing structure is appropriate to the insured's operations; exposure and risk transfer goals.
* Market presentations secure best possible terms for the client, with full material disclosure.  Negotiates and obtains the most appropriate carrier, coverage and price for the clients' requirements.
* Resolves subjectivities and warranties in accordance with client/insurer instructions to secure underwriters' participation.
* Negotiates agreement to post-placement changes, e.g. by contract endorsement.
* Document Production



Market relationships

* Develops and maintains market relationships to permit the widest placing opportunities



Client Management

* Identifies and manages client requirements in accordance with the terms of appointment
* Builds and maintains strong client relationships
* Achieves a high rate of client retention through well-planned and executed account renewal management
* Ensures there are sufficient resources to meet client day-to-day demands and escalates servicing issues to divisional management as necessary
* Meet with clients and run meetings as required



New Business Production

* Assist in the development of production to help generate new business opportunities.



Desirable Experience:

London/International market experience and experience in broking.

Exposure to large international corporations including Mining and other industrial risks with experience in working with clients and producers in the Middle East and Latin America.

Basic management experience.

Minimum technical insurance: Cert CII or equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills

Languages - French or Spanish

Market and industry structure and operation, including regulation and current market practices LLMIT

Sector specific risks and insurance products/solutions

Risk analysis

Slip drafting and Approval

Decision making

Client servicing

Negotiation

Managing operational risk

Well-developed verbal and written communication

Time management and prioritisation

FCA - ICOB and Money Laundering/Prevention of financial crime

End to end broking process
