New and rare opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join an established SME who are expanding their reach globally. This role will lead busy Warehouse and Supply Chain and functions to ensure seamless distribution, minimising lead times and improving efficiencies as demand rises.



Duties include:

* Leading Warehouse and office-based Supply Chain teams with c.20 direct reports, you will be the point of contact day-to-day for any operational queries, working closely with your teams, mitigating conflict, and leading efficient, effective collaboration.
* Forecasting customer demand; overseeing stock management and offering process improvements where necessary
* Ensuring all goods are shipped, delivered and invoiced with accuracy and in a timely manner
* Increase production and revenue, keeping costs to a minimum yet maintaining a high standard, quality product
* Establishing and maintaining a Lean working culture of continuous improvement
* Ensuring operational activities are compliant and within the agreed SLAs
* Overseeing staffing issues, rotas, and appraisals.
* Ensuring that performance expectations have been met, and investigating, monitoring, and resolving any areas falling short.
* Meeting and maintaining all Health and Safety requirements and Regulations.
* Facilitating forward planning of warehouse capacity.
* Planning and budgeting for the Department.

The successful candidate will have / be:

* A proven track record at Operational Management level, ideally within an FMCG production or distribution environment, demonstrating commercial acumen in improvements made.
* Experience of quality management, along with expectations of UK Retailers: Asda, Sainsburys, Waitrose etc.
* A track record in upskilling and motivating a team.
* A 'lead by example' approach
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, from making representations to the Board, to day-to-day shop floor management.
* A practical outlook and hands on skills; happy to get involved with the day-to-day operations where necessary.
* Excellent MS Office skills, with reporting and data analysis capabilities
* A flexible and adaptable approach, able to resist stress and focus on meeting deadlines.
* A methodical and organised approach.

The sky is the limited in terms of the impact this role could have on the successful growth of the business, as well as further progression personally for the incumbent.
