Care Co-ordinator, Learning Disability Service, Medway Towns Salary circa £22,000 - £28,000
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an efficient, organised and experienced Care Co-ordinator to join a highly reputable, established and rapidly expanding, charitable learning disability care service. This provider has developed a fantastic reputation for delivering high-quality, tailored care packages to the local community. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to maintain the excellent level of care provided.

Who are we looking for?
We're looking for someone who is energetic and motivated to play a key role in developing an already-successful service. Experience working with people with learning disabilities and running the service is preferred. Ability to build trusting relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
You must be able to demonstrate good CQC compliance skills and possess a sound track record of achieving compliance in any recent roles you've held.
This is a full-time, permanent role, however, part time job share will be considered at pro-rata salary.
As a Care Co-ordinator your role will include the following duties:
• Organise and coordinate Care Services.
• Ensure that the care worker rotas are organised and sufficiently well planned taking into account travel time.
• Work with recruitment personnel to ensure sufficient current and future staffing levels.
• Plan and allocate care assignments to appropriate care workers, with due regard for the particular needs of the individual and the skills and attributes of the worker.
• Dealing with queries from clients and families in a calm and professional manner.
• Liaise as necessary with partner professionals and organisations (e.g. social workers, GPS, nurses) in respect of developing and delivering holistic, person-centred packages of care.
• Participation in the On Call out of hours’ service as required.
• Assist others in the delivery excellent care and maintain the GOOD CQC rating.
• Prepare accounts and payroll using Sage or similar systems.
• Familiarity with Self Directed Support Payments.
• You must have good IT, communication and office skills

Essential -
• Advanced Customer Service Skills
• Advanced Report Writing Skills
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word & Powerpoint
• Knowledge of accounts and payroll systems
• Experience of Office Management
• Flexible approach to working hours
• Full clean driving licence
• Vehicle Business Insurance
Desirable -
• Managing care support services
• Managing a business unit
• GCSE Maths and English grades A-C (or equivalent)
• Co-ordinating recruitment & applications
• Co-ordinating HR issues (e.g. disciplinary, performance management, grievances, leave, and absence)
• Handling complaints
