Registered Manager, Learning Disability Service, Medway Towns Salary circa £28,000 - £38,000

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an efficient, organised and experienced Manager to join a highly reputable, established and rapidly expanding, charitable learning disability care service. This provider has developed a fantastic reputation for delivering high-quality, tailored care packages to the local community. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the Trustees to maintain the excellent level of care provided.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who is energetic and motivated to play a key role in developing an already successful service. Experience working with people with learning disabilities and running a service is preferred. However a manager from a residential care setting may be considered. Ability to build trusting relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You must be able to demonstrate good CQC compliance skills and possess a sound track record of achieving compliance in any recent management roles you've held.

This role is a full-time permanent position, however, flexible or part time hours would be considered.

As a Registered Manager Typical Duties will include, but not be limited to: -
• Business Management
• Manage services and resources. Meet/exceed targets. Budget Control and Management. Monitoring of KPI’s. Management Reporting. Relationship Management. Recruitment/Staffing/Capacity. Business Planning. Invoicing and Payroll. Familiarity with Self Directed Support Payments.

• Service Delivery
Highest quality of care delivery. Maintain culture of Continuous Improvement and service quality. Person Centred Care Planning and Risk Assessing. Liaise and work with partner agencies. Ensure all care partners are consulted and included in service planning and delivery.

• Quality Assurance
Implement and oversee quality assurance processes. Ensure each service is regularly reviewed and revised where necessary. Complaints Management and analysis. Review quality assurance feedback to plan continuous service improvements.

• Managing People
Staff Management. Recruitment Process implementation. Ensure staff capable and confident and suitably trained. Supervision. Appraisal. Performance Management. Absence Management. Participation in the On Call out of hours’ service as required.

• Regulatory Compliance
Maintain Professional registration (e.g. Registered Manager status). Ensure regulatory compliance against care service delivery, business administration, health and safety and data protection. Maintain structured and organised records. Liaise with regulatory bodies. Improvement Planning. Management reporting.

• Health and Safety
Management of the Company’s Health and Safety Policy. Ensure Risk Assessments and control measures in place. Management reports.

Experience

Essential -
• Managing People
• Experienced in working in Domiciliary Setting
• GCSE Maths and English grades A-C (or equivalent)
• NVQ/QCF level 5 diploma or RMA (or equivalent)
• Full clean driving licence
• Vehicle Business Insurance

Desirable -
• Managing care support services
• Managing a business unit
• Project Management
• Delivering training and instruction
• Managing recruitment
• Managing HR issues (e.g. disciplinary, performance management, grievances, leave, and absence)
• Handling complaints

All staff will be subject to enhanced level DBS / Access / NI Disclosure
