Our client specialises in providing IT support and software to various industries globally. Due to the expansion of their business through new and existing product lines they have an excellent opportunity for a software developer join the team based in Ramsgate.

As a software developer your role will include:
· Carrying out software developments to a high standard and within time constraints
· Testing and documentation of existing systems and new developments
· Ensuring required coding standards are adhered to
· Working with end customers, business partners and other departments to resolve software support issues
· Specifying alterations to existing systems based on customer requirements
· Provide out-of-hours end-user remote support on a rota basis

Qualifications required:
· To apply for this position, you must possess a degree with at least 2nd class honours in a relevant subject

You must have the following skills:
· The ability to analyse a problem domain by communication and observation, then provide a workable solution in documented form
· Be able manage your time efficiently and work under pressure
· Excellent interpersonal and client facing skills
· Thorough knowledge of OO methodologies, preferably in a .NET environment
· Proficiency using T-SQL in a Microsoft SQL Server 2008+ environment

In addition to the above, the following skills would be advantageous:
· Exposure to Android® development (Java)
· Experience in testing software systems
· Ability to provide training to end users either remotely or in person
· Database design experience, preferably using SQL Server 2008+
· JQuery, JavaScript or other scripting languages / frameworks
· IIS / SQL Server configuration and maintenance
· WPF or Winforms using C#
· Object Relational Mapping (Entity Framework / NHibernate)

This role is office-based; travel may be required occasionally so use of a car is beneficial though not necessary.
