A growing Facilities Management company are looking for a Materials Coordinator to join our highly valued team.
Our company is a single point of contact for commercial clients with planned, reactive and large project works.
We are currently based in Chart Sutton, Maidstone in a pleasant rural location, so driving is advisable, but soon relocating to the 20/20 Business Park near Aylesford.
The hours for the position are Monday to Friday: 8am - 5pm.
We are preferably looking for a candidate with previous experience and with knowledge of sourcing and purchasing materials.
Responsibilities of our Materials Coordinator:
• Process materials orders working alongside operational schedulers.
• Receive, check and store materials at the appropriate locations.
• Identify and report discrepancies in deliveries as appropriate.
• Ensure that materials arrive on site on time.
• Ensure that all parties are made aware of any special delivery requirements.
• Check and understand material availability.
• Maintain inventory control and storage information.
• Accurately monitor stock levels with minimal waste.
The following skills are required:
• 2+ years' experience in a materials coordinator/purchasing/planning position
• Experience of purchasing, supplier contractual processes and requirements
Person Specification:
• Capability to work well within a busy environment, performing well under pressure.
• Ability to thrive within a team environment, as well as being able to work independently to manage own work loads.
• Willing to learn and adapt to new software and systems of working.
• Proficient communication skills, both written & verbal.
• Experience within similar role or transferable skills from related role.
• Customer orientated.
• Solid IT skills.
• Smart, presentable appearance.
• Personable and approachable.
