Based at The Fresh Produce Centre at Paddock Wood in Kent, FreshPLUS takes a different approach to service provision. Specialising in fresh produce, our customers have the freedom to choose from a flexible menu of direct or indirect services; from full receipt, storage, ripening, packing and distribution of products to indirect options such as grower audits at source, customs clearance services or marketing insight reports.
So, why work for us?
We are looking for a Transport Administrator to join our logistics team, facilitating the process of transporting fresh produce goods to our customers.
You’ll be responsible operating for our in-house SAP system and liaising with our commercial teams in order to understand incoming consignment details, which will enable you to arrange with hauliers for collection.
When drivers arrive on site, it’ll be your responsibility for greeting them and making them aware of our health and safety processes. Once you’ve assigned them to their designated loading bay, you’ll update our warehouse teams of their arrival and collate the necessary paperwork so that the trailer can be loaded/unloaded in a timely fashion. You’ll then liaise with our onsite haulage provider to arrange the transport of the goods to our customers.
It’ll also be within your remit to check and reconcile invoices and update our software system to reflect live transport information such as pallet volumes, vendor information and haulier codes which allows us to report on accurate costings.
Here at The Fresh Produce Centre, we’re proud to be zero landfill and you’ll play a key part in our mission to promote sustainability by arranging for the collection of recyclable goods such as fruit, paper and plastic. With a focus on health and safety, you’ll perform routine yard checks to ensure that processes are being complied with and general housekeeping is uncompromised.
This role presents an opportunity to become part of dynamic and fast-paced team where no two days are the same.
Our perfect Transport Administrator would have:
• Proven experience of working within a similar role, within a similar environment
• Excellent administration skills with the proficient use of MS Office packages
• SAP experience (desirable)
• A process driven approach with the ability to plan, challenge and when appropriate, adapt to unforeseen circumstances
• The ability to build key business relationships, a great telephone manner and excellent customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
• An uncompromised approach to health and safety practices
What else we can offer you:
• A competitive salary
• 28 days holiday per annum, inclusive of public holiday allowance
• Pension scheme
• Optional company share scheme
• Learning and development opportunities
• Free onsite parking
• Subsidised staff restaurant
The hours you would work:
A shift pattern of 45 hours per week, to include weekend working on a rota basis.
We would love to hear from you if you feel that you can offer us as much as we can offer you. Please do so by submitting your CV to our recruitment team.
This position is being advertised by a direct employer, no agencies please.
