A Newly created role has arisen to lead Financial reporting, ensuring robust regulatory standards for a specialist medium sized Insurance business that is part of a large listed Plc.

The role will Business Partner with the actuarial and finance teams to improve Solvency II reporting, control and process whilst upskilling the BAU reporting team on all regulatory reporting matters.

You will be instrumental in IFRS 17 implementation for this group company as well as taking the lead on any improvements required to current technical reporting and control.

Principle Responsibilities include:

- Taking the lead on Solvency II Pillar 3 quarterly Returns
- Take the lead on IFRS17 implementation
- Manage delivery of audit, including actuarial deliverables and lead on audit and Plc finance interactions
- Provide technical training and support to finance and actuarial teams
- Deputise for the Finance Director as required
- Working with the actuarial team, provide challenge and insight on reserve surplus generation, margin and risk pricing
- Embed new systems and processes to deliver robust SII and regulatory reporting
- Assist with regulatory and other insurance technical reporting requirements as needed by the Financial Control team
