CTO Technologies is an IT consultancy and managed service provider based in West Malling, Kent. We are looking for an ambitious, passionate and motivated candidate to join our thriving technical support team. Our rapidly expanding company offers opportunities for career progression, training and the chance to shape the future of the company’s managed services division. We are currently expanding into different industry areas e.g. Cyber and product development so there will always be an opportunity to be involved in that work outside of the advertised role.
We require a full time Senior Technical Analyst with an excellent track record whilst working in an IT support role - ideally having worked in both 1st and 2nd line teams. A broad understanding of supporting IT business applications across both hardware and software preferably with experience within the NHS and the education system is desirable.
You will have the competence to manage your own workload & projects across multiple clients as well as dealing with third party organisations to ensure defined service levels are met and that our clients benefit from high quality services. You will be able to perform rapid onsite support at our customer sites and remote analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex problems for our end users making sure that SLA targets are met. At times there may be a requirement to work extended hours which is the nature of the industry we operate in, but compensation will always be provided.
We are looking for someone that can demonstrate skills and experience working with:
• Receiving and responding to incoming calls from the service desk and/or e-mails
• Microsoft Products - Active Directory / Group Policy / Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 R2/2016 Windows 7/10 / Office 2010/16 / Office 365 / SQL Server
• Networking & TCP/IP, DHCP
• Windows File & Print services, Share & NTFS access controls
• Virtualisation technologies - VMWare 5.5/6.x, Hyper-V
• Hardware technologies – Servers, storage SAN/LUN configuration
• Good understanding of security principles (qualifications are desirable)
• PowerShell & scripting capabilities
Experience:
The ideal candidate will have experience being hands-on with hardware, troubleshooting and extensive equipment support experience with desktop and mobile devices. You will also be familiar with ITIL and have a qualification in IT information systems and/or 2-4 years equivalent work experience. Certifications in networking, Microsoft, ITIL, are desirable but not essential.
Personal Attributes:
• Must display a high level of organisational skill whilst under pressure
• Must be assertive and confident when dealing with people both internally and externally
• Must have excellent customer-facing skills and enjoy telephone interaction
• Must have high attention to detail and be able to follow a published procedure consistently
• Demonstrate an ability to multi-task
