Seasonal Food & Beverage Supervisor
£8.50 an hour from 1 April
Estimated 30hrs per week
Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve, in conjunction with the Aspinall Foundation, are a charity based organisation committed to protecting rare and endangered animals from extinction through captive breeding and reintroduction programmes. The parks are home of one of the world’s most prized wild animal collections and are one of the biggest visitor attractions in Kent. We are currently recruiting a Seasonal Food & Beverage Supervisor to work in our Bear Lodge Clubhouse Restaurant. Bear Lodge is a family orientated glamping experience with views over our spectacled Bears enclosure and out to the coast. Bear Lodge also hosts weddings and corporate events throughout the year.
As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing all aspects of our restaurant business. You will be expected to deliver a high-quality experience to our guests and motivate our staff to ensure excellent customer service. Supervisors will be responsible for maintaining quality and increasing profitability. Exceptional supervisor skills and a strong understanding of customer service are a must.
Duties of the role will include:
• Oversee front and back of house operations
• Ensure customer satisfaction through promoting excellent customer service
• Provide staff with support and training
• Ensure that high standards are maintained in cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation
• Manage and maintain all the equipment.
• Manage the cashing up and change ordering.
• Working alongside the Restaurant Manager with stock management including deliveries, rotation, and waste control.
The Ideal candidate with have prior experience gained in a similar high-end service environment. You will have the ability to prioritise, make appropriate decisions under pressure and be able to juggle various tasks at once to ensure everything runs smoothly.
You will have good problem-solving abilities and a proven track record of maintaining exceptional standards of service and presentation. Strong team leadership skills, excellent communication skills and an understanding that the needs of the guest come first at all times are essential for this role.
Working hours will include breakfast, evenings, weekends and bank holidays normally worked in shifts over five days a week. Due to our remote location a reliable form of transport is advantageous. All applicants must have right to work in the UK.
