Based in Dover, our client is seeking Customs Clerks to join their expanding team in preparation for the UK's withdrawal from the European Union.
Working on a shift basis, the successful candidates will be well-versed in customs procedures and principles, and used to working in a fast-paced customs environment.
Key duties and responsibilities:
* Completing the day-to-day road freight customs clearance work;
* Completing the deep sea customs operations;
* Booking and delivery of operations of deep sea containers;
* Amending and completing freight bookings as required;
* Arranging the stamping of T2L documentation.
Knowledge and skills:
* A full knowledge of customs procedures and principles;
* A good understanding of Excel spreadsheets;
* IT competent and literate;
* Be conscientious and have attention to details.
This role will be worked between the operational hours of 7am-9pm - on a shift basis.
