An experienced bookkeeper is required for a small busy, friendly practice, based in Aylesford Kent. Full or Part time.

Established since 2010, my client has 4 employees and due to growth and expansion this role will suit an experienced book keeper who is not looking for progression, apart from natural progression as the practice continues to grow.

Person specification

An organised, deadline focused person is required to help the practice grow organically. My client will consider full time or reduced hours to work around children/ schools etc.. Office hours for full time position are 8.00am to 4pm.

You will have gained your experience in a practice environment and therefore be used to how an accountancy practice works. The practice client base is mainly small businesses over wide variety of industries.

Apart from being focussed and highly organised, you will be open to working in a small friendly team where there is some office banter.

Duties include the following:-

Bookkeeping to trial balance
Preparation and submission of VAT returns
Monthly payroll
Preparation of submission of monthly CIS returns
Supervision of 1 member of staff.
Requirements - Essential

Enthusiastic, positive person with good IT skills
3 to 5 years bookkeeping experience, including bookkeeping to trial balance, VAT and CIS returns and payroll
Experience using online bookkeeping software, excel and accounting packages.
Requirements - Desirable

Experience using the following:
Quickbooks, Kashflow, VT and Xero
Autoentry/receiptbank
MoneySoft payroll
Digita Practice Manager and accounts production
Workflow systems
AAT/bookkeeping qualification or qualified by experience
Free parking, 20 days holidays plus bank holidays.

Salary dependent on qualifications and experience. Circa 20 - 24k. Pro rata for part time.
