The Orchard is an exclusive Weddings and Events venue hosting in excess of 130 weddings per year. We are looking for an experienced events professional to join our team within a senior role to take responsibilty for the smooth running of the events both in the lead up to and on the date of the event.

Duties will include but not be limited to;

• To implement strategy to reach wet sales target.
• Responsible for resourcing best price on all wet/dry store /equipment working alongside Operations Manager
• On a quarterly basis research competition for wet sales margins and implement price increases alongside Operations Manager
• Responsible for completion of event preparation sheet ensuring for a perfect event set up. Responsible for complete event set up and organising staff assistance when required to complete task, optimising productivity.
• To complete task lists for the operational team ahead of events
• To sign off all deliveries and reconcile with delivery note and ensure all stock is put in correct places and locked away where necessary.
• Responsible if on duty for the security of the premises and completing the security log.
• To attend the weekly team meeting with Operation’s manager and any relevant staff to ensure all relevant questions or concerns are raised and dealt with ahead of the event date to ensure the smooth running of all events.
• Responsible for all rota’s being completed with competent staff 3 weeks prior to event date alongside Operations Manager
• Responsible for the staff at all events to ensure smooth running and staff levels are adequate for the guest numbers.
• To ensure every member of staff is fully supported with their training needs whilst in work.
• To arrange and complete quarterly training sessions to include health & safety and fire drills and identifying any further training needs alongside the Operations Manager.
• To assign staff to complete daily tasks and function close sheets.
• Bars are consistency stocked ahead of each event
• Glassware is cleaned and polished to the highest possible standard and this is maintained consistency during events, ensuring that staff are adhering and meeting our standards at all times.
• To record any wastages and breakages. Report to Operations Manager and General Manager.
• Responsible for noise management and all door & window policies are adhered to.
• To assist in Kitchen when required. Ensuring cleanliness of Kitchen and completing temperature logs.
• Accountable for all stock.
