We are looking for a candidate with great interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic and previous supervisory experience in a catering environment to be responsible for the day to day running of the cafe at our Herons Leisure Centre. This is a fixed term maternity cover contract for 8 months, starting by mid June 2019.

Specific responsibilities will include:
• Staff training, day to day supervision and staffing requirements
• Implementing and maintaining standards and procedures
• Managing customer requests and issues
• Serving customers and food preparation
• Ordering and stock control
• Driving sales and achieving targets
• Opening and closing procedures
• Maintaining COSHH and health and safety records
What you'll need:
• a current food hygiene certificate (minimum level 2 is essential)
• experience in a similar role at supervisory or management level
• a friendly, positive attitude and a proven ability of providing excellent customer service
• excellent communication skills
• a business-like approach to running the catering operation
• to be reliable and flexible and willing to work weekends when required
• to be clean, smart, and well presented
• the desire and ability to comply with company/health and safety procedures and standards
• a good standard of numeracy & literacy
• to be computer literate

Due to planned leave within the department, the successful candidate will only be able to take a very minimal amount of time off in July and August.
