Cash Office Assistant
Salary: £8.30 per hour
Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve and Howletts Wild Animal Park are world class wildlife parks and established visitor attractions who work in conjunction with the international animal conservation charity; The Aspinall Foundation.
We are seeking a pro-active sales and ledger clerk who is able to work on their own initiative, with the ability to understand different aspects of our complex business.
This permanent role is part-time, 20 hours per week worked 8am-12pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
Duties of the role include:
• Counting and recording cash receipts from all departments.
• Checking till reconciliations.
• Banking of cash and cheques.
• Administer and reconcile petty cash.
• Communicating to non financial staff and resolving queries from other departments.
• Ad hoc projects and tasks.
Reporting to the Financial Assistant, the candidate will play a key role within our small finance team. Previous experience of handling cash is essential, along with excellent attention to detail. You should also have good computer skills with a working knowledge Excel. You will be able to work accurately and able to work under pressure.
