Forecast Analyst

Hours of Work
Monday – Friday, 40 Hours per week, with some flexibility required to meet the needs of the business.
Job Role
Working within the Planning Department, this is an exciting opportunity for a Forecast Analyst to provide the business with an accurate short, medium and long term forecast for all products ABP WA Turner’s supply to customers.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a background within a busy planning team within a manufacturing environment. The candidate will ideally suit to a fast paced environment, preferably within FMCG.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing day to day production forecasts and plans and a detailed rolling 12 week forecast for wider business purposes. You will also monitor and record the factory’s progress against the schedules
Main Duties & Responsibilities
To ensure the forecast is accurate at all times given the information provided
Provide data analysis for future analysis
Point of contact within the business for forecasting questions (internal and external department)
To regularly liaise with the customer to ensure our forecasts are aligned to theirs
To provide information to the department including but not exhaustive to: forecast / order swings, general issues which may affect the department
Build relationships with key Supply Chain contacts
Work closely with Commercial account managers
Create new forecast file, by Financial year
Build Year on Year comparisons, track weather, previous trends or anomalies
Monitor in detail customer service level
Maintain KPI’s in details
Issue all forecast related reports as necessary
Work alongside the Planning Manager. e.g develop retail site links, analyse in store availability and waste
Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge of FMCG planning / forecasting
Knowledge of the customer and their ways of working
Good knowledge of computer systems especially Excel, Advance/Intermediate level skills required, (standard functions and spreadsheet design).
Works well under pressure
Efficient management of time
Good communicator
Works to deadlines
Able to work well in a team and individually
Focused to the job in hand especially during busy times
