The Purchase Ledger Clerk will have responsibility for the full cycle of Purchase Ledger and bank account management for a division of the business
The Purchase Ledger role is responsible for:
• Input and code supplier invoices
• Scanning and filing of invoices as required
• Petty cash reconciliation weekly and monthly
• Preparation of payment runs
• Post Cash Receipts for monies received into the Bank accounts in a timely manner
• Chase and obtain remittance details for outstanding receipts
• Investigate and resolve queries effectively and efficiently via the telephone and email
• Processing and payment of staff expense claims and reconciliation of company credit cards
• Reconciliation of supplier accounts to monthly supplier statements.
• Any other adhoc duties
In order to apply, we would like to see from the potential Purchase Ledger Clerk:
• Demonstrable experience of working self sufficiently in a Purchase Ledger role
• Able to use Sage
• Strong communication skills
• Experience or working in a centralised finance function
• Positive enthusiastic approach with a can-do attitude
• Well organised with strength in prioritising
• Able to work semi-autonomously and flexibly
