Catering Supervisor
£8.50 per hour
Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve, in conjunction with the Aspinall Foundation, are a charity based organisation committed to protecting rare and endangered animals from extinction through captive breeding and reintroduction programmes. The parks are home of one of the world’s most prized wild animal collections and are one of the biggest visitor attractions in Kent.
As a Catering Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing the day to day operation of our catering outlets. You will be expected to deliver a high-quality experience to our guests and motivate our staff to ensure excellent customer service. Supervisors will be responsible for maintaining quality and increasing profitability. Exceptional supervisor skills and a strong understanding of customer service are a must.
Duties of the role will include:
• Ensure customer satisfaction through promoting excellent customer service
• Provide staff with support and training
• Ensure that high standards are maintained in cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation
• Manage and maintain all the equipment
• Manage the cashing up and change ordering
• Working alongside the Catering Management team with stock management including stock rotation and waste control.
The ideal candidate with have prior experience at supervisory level, gained in a similar service environment. You will have the ability to prioritise, make appropriate decisions under pressure and be able to juggle various tasks at once to ensure everything runs smoothly.
You will have good problem-solving abilities and a proven track record of maintaining exceptional standards of service and presentation. Strong team leadership skills, excellent communication skills and an understanding that the needs of the customer come first at all times are essential for this role.
Working hours are 40 hours per week and will include weekends and bank holidays. Due to our remote location a reliable form of transport is advantageous. All applicants must have right to work in the UK.
