This temporary assignment may present the opportunity of securing a permanent position. The standard working hours are 8.00 – 17.00 Monday to Friday but the company can be flexible on these working hours. The company is located in a very lovely rural setting therefore, candidates must be able to drive.
Key duties & responsibilities
• Picking stock items using a hand-held scanner in accordance with the required volumes, accuracy and timeframes
• Packing customer orders in accordance with the required volumes, accuracy and timeframes.
• Processing inbound stock items (goods-in) in accordance with the required volumes, accuracy and timeframes
• Stock taking of warehouse items as required and directed
• Ensure that housekeeping duties are carried out as directed in order to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• General warehouse duties as required or directed.
• Conduct all duties and activities in accordance with health and safety policies, guidance and good judgment.
Required qualifications, knowledge, experience & skills
• Basic English, Math’s and IT skills.
• Physically fit – manual handling is a key part of the role.
• Good teamwork skills
• The ability to complete paperwork and count stock items
• An understanding of health and safety regulations
• Honest, reliable, hard working with a “can do attitude”.
• A willingness to work on a flexible basis.
• A Counterbalance Forklift licence would be beneficial but not essential
