Part Time Support Worker required in Orpington, BR5

Hours are below, the role is currently 19.5 hours per week, but consideration could be given to add in a day at the weekend on alternate weeks.

Monday - 9am – 12 noon
Tuesday - 4.30pm – 10pm
Wednesday - 3pm – 7.00pm
Friday - 3pm – 10 pm

To provide a safe, stimulating and progressive environment and lifestyle for the client who has Cerebral Palsy affecting all four limbs. An ability to remain positive, calm and engaging at all times will be essential. The role will be mainly assisting the client to lead as independent life as possible with a variety of activities, but will also include some elements of housekeeping.

Candidates must have excellent communications skills and be computer literate

Full personal care will be required, along with regular pad changing and hoisting

Experience of tube feeding would be preferable, but training will be provided

Any knowledge or experience of alternative therapies could also be advantageous, but is not essential.

Applicants must be willing and able to enter a hydrotherapy pool and support client

Applicants must be able to drive a large automatic vehicle and have a full, clean UK driving licence

This role requires regular elements of moving and handling and you will need to be physically fit, with no pre-existing conditions that may affect your ability to safely carry out your duties.

As this role is to provide personal care to a vulnerable young lady, only female applicants need apply.
