Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client an IT support business based in Maidstone, Kent. Our client has been established for over 30 years and has been growing consistently during that time. Due to this expansion our client is looking to recruit a 1st line support technician to join their team

The role entails;

• Providing 1st line service desk support for both incidents or service requests related to hardware, software, network connectivity
• Maintaining all technical and technical documents to ensuring that it is all up to date.
• Assisting with hardware and software purchases (including licensing and ISO standards)
• VOIP and mobile phone support
• Assisting with Active Directory and Exchange mailbox creation
• Managing and controlling backups and secure storage
• Providing administration of group sever and network infrastructure

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experiences;

• Good communication skills
• Experience dealing with technical end users in a support role
• Fault-finding skills (especially at network, printer and computer level)
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange management on 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016
• Experience troubleshooting printers and copiers
• Having a good level of working knowledge of web applications, networks, protocols and email (SMTP, POP3 and Exchange)
• Having a good understanding of TCP/IP networking and experience with DHCP, DNS and VPN

Salary between £18,000 - £25,000 depending on experience
