We are currently recruiting for a fantastic financial services organisation based on the outskirts of Sevenoaks (own transportation will be required) that are seeking to recruit an experienced Collections Account Manager to join their organisation.
Please note you must be flexible and able to commit to the following shifts:
Hours: Rota shift working based on 8am - 8pm weekdays and 9am - 5pm Saturdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays (time off in lieu for weekend hours)
The role will be responsible for contacting customers by telephone, letter, e-mail, and SMS in order to arrive at a mutually acceptable repayment plan.
Duties will include:
*Monitor assigned customer accounts to identify outstanding debts up to three months delinquent
*Plan a course of action to recover outstanding payments within specific timescales
*Contact customers by telephone to qualify their current status
*Negotiate repayment and appropriate payment plans
*Respond effectively to questions or initial expressions of dissatisfaction
*Investigate and resolve discrepancies
*Update account status accurately
*Escalate appropriately where it is identified that customers are unwilling or unable to pay within specific timescales
*Ensure that stretching levels of 'TCF are consistently maintained
Skills and experience required:
*Previous collections or credit control experience is essential
*Self-motivated and comfortable working with targets, stretching deadlines and external suppliers
*Resilient and persistent
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where changes to procedures are frequent
*Negotiating and persuading skills
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Proven decision-making ability
*Ability to multi-task and prioritise whilst speaking with customers
*Good educational background with adequate verbal, reading, arithmetic and computer skills
*Organised
*Ability to input and interpret data
*Ability to work effectively under pressure
*Must drive and have own transportation due to location
