We are seeking a Night Care assistant and a Night Senior care assistant to join our friendly team at Capel Grange Residential Home. We are a home caring for elderly living with Dementia

Requirements: Senior Care assistant

Minimum of level 2 Health & Social care Diploma and willing to work towards a level 3 qualification.
Qualification in Administration of Medication preferred, training will be provided for the right candidate.
Previous experience in care essential. Full Training will be given to the right candidate.

Highly Motivated.

Excellent Communication skills.

Team Player and can lead a team to a high standard.

Responsibilities:

To administer medication in a person centered way.
To ensure the safe running of the home in the absence of the deputy and manager.
To effectively manage a small team.
To liaise with external professionals when required.
To communicate with the team any relevant information.
To communicate with Registered manager any concerns relating to residents, visitors and staff.
To manage complaints and report to Registered manager.
To be aware of residents individual needs.
To support each of the residents to remain as active and independent as possible.
To ensure that person centered care is delivered respecting the individual’s rights of choice, privacy and dignity and be sensitive to each person’s needs.
Demonstrate skill and imagination in helping residents manage everyday difficulties arising from their memory or physical health.
Encourage and support each resident to do as much as possible for themselves in all aspects of daily living.
Demonstrate an ability to build and maintain relationships with people whose understanding is impaired and their families through good communication skills.
Assist with providing snack, hot/cold drinks and assisting residents where required.
Understand and maintain confidentiality at all times.
To adhere to all of the companies Policies and procedures.
Attend training as required and where necessary.

Requirements: Night Care assistant

Work well within a team
Good Communication skills
Adhere to the companies policies and procedures
Attend training when required - full training will be provided
Experience preferred but not essential
Hours required are 8pm - 8am or 7pm - 7am
You will be required to work alternate weekends
Deliver person centred care at all times
To expand on skills and knowledge and opportunites to undertake Level 2 and 3 Diplomas.
