Location: Hadlow College
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and energetic IT Technician to play a vital role in the delivery and support of IT services at Hadlow College and its subsidiaries. A 2nd Line Technician at Hadlow College is expected to be dynamic and self-motivated to pro-actively support and implement IT based services while constantly seeking to improve them.
Duties will involve the support and maintenance of PCs, MACs, smart phones and tablets including their associated peripherals. Managing workloads through the department’s helpdesk software whilst ensuring the department’s documentation is kept up to date will also be part of the day to day duties.
The successful candidate should have significant experience of working in an IT team supporting in a Microsoft network environment. A strong knowledge of basic networking, computer peripherals and Microsoft products is essential.
In addition to the minimum requirements detailed above, candidates will also hold excellent skills in problem solving, online research, simplifying complex answers and dealing with people in a high pressured environment, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
The role will be based at Hadlow, however, you will be required to drive to our other campuses and therefore will be required to hold a valid full UK driving licence.
As well as a contributory pension scheme, staff discount schemes and free car parking, this post also attracts 30 days holiday each year (excluding bank holidays).
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check and provide proof of their right to work in the UK. Where applicable, a prohibition check will be carried out.
