Chemical Production Operative – Permanent

Location: Medway City Estate

Salary: 19k-24k Depending on age and experience

Celessence Technologies is a leading and innovative producer of micro-encapsulated products, working with customers on a Global basis. We currently have an opportunity to join our close-knit team based in Medway.

Your role will include:
· Running chemical processes at different scales to produce polymer based products.
· Cleaning and maintenance of all equipment used
· Stock-management
· Ability to help with other tasks as required, such as packaging, data management, applications, safety and quality checking.

Key Responsibilities will include
· The accurate calculation of production formulas prior to manufacture
· The accurate measuring and mixing of ingredients
· Good time management to monitor the progress of all batches being made
· Accurate decanting and labelling of the containers and preparing the products to be dispatched

Person Specification:
• The role includes some physical aspects (lifting, cleaning vessels) so the successful applicant must be physically fit.
• Ability to multi-task and operate under time pressure
• Willing and mature attitude - must be resourceful and show initiative
• Ability to work unsupervised in a conscientious manner
• Ability to manage computer work.
• Good maths and arithmetic skills required
• Good interpersonal skills

For this technical role, an interest in science and a practical approach is required. Previous experience in chemical manufacturing would be beneficial but it not essential.
