Eurotunnel manages, maintains and operates the Channel Tunnel Fixed Link Concession between Folkestone and Coquelles, France. Opened on 6 May 1994, the Fixed Link is a rolling motorway which transports passenger and commercial freight vehicles on board Shuttles across the Channel at 140kph, in 35 minutes. It also allows the running of third party passenger and railfreight trains. The advantages of the Channel Tunnel are security, reliability, speed, frequency and respect for the environment.

Eurotunnel is seeking a highly motivated individual within its Mechanical & Electrical department. Working at our Terminal in Folkestone you will be responsibible for maintaining the integrity of Eurotunnel’s Industrial Automation Systems to ensure all primary and safety systems are operating safely, efficiently and reliably.

Due to the unique mixture and architecture of the control systems that fall under the responsibility of this role it is envisaged that to a lesser or greater extent this will be a development opportunity.

You must have an electrical qualification, ideally to HND/HNC or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years experience as a Technician together with 4 years experience as a Senior Technician and/or a minimum of 2 years experience as an Engineer in a Maintenance environment.

The role does require working in a tunnel environment.
