JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will be responsible for all global purchasing and supply chain operations, including (but not limited to); purchasing, inventory management, vendor/supplier management, inbound/outbound logistics. The successful candidate will ensure the accurate and timely delivery of supplies, outside services, raw materials, and finished goods. The goal is to maximise efficiency, minimise costs, drive product quality, enhance business development, ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.

-Generate monthly supplier forecasts and minimum stock levels.
-Purchase inventory based on forecasts, projections, schedules and need within budgetary constraints.
-Generate production orders, issue product and receive completed orders to fulfil sales requirements.
-Strategically plan and manage inbound/outbound logistics
-Oversee product receipts, keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
-Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements with vendors.
-Coordinate annual inventory including recounts and reconciliation
-Maintain SAP database for inventory items, warehouse functions, price lists and various properties associated with items and warehouses.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Detail oriented, able to communicate well verbally and in writing, ability to travel nationwide and worldwide. Proven experience and qualifications within the purchasing discipline, experience with importation and customs brokerage, hydraulics/fluid power training and know-how is a big plus, along with strong familiarity with MS Office Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and SAP Business One.
