Children's Residential Support Worker

Hays Social Care are currently working in partnership with a residential childcare provider with settings across Kent, looking for Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to join them on a permanent basis immediately. Although our client is looking for permanent staff there are also various temporary opportunities with this provider so if permanent isn't for you, please still apply!
In this role you will be working with very vulnerable children between the ages of 8 and 18 with learning disabilities. You will be responsible for providing physical and emotional care for these children and ensuring that they are safe and happy. You will be responsible for ensuring their day runs smoothly and a routine is maintained throughout the day. You will have to update their care plans and ensure that up to date records are being maintained. You will also enjoy taking the children for days out and encourage them to have independence. This role is full time.
In this role, our client is looking for someone with recent experience working in this type of setting. Having a relevant qualification is desirable but by no means essential. Our client can offer a competitive wage in a setting that values it's staff and has a warm, family-like ethos.
