We are recruiting a newly created role for a finance manager reporting directly into the Group Finance Director who will be adaptable, resourceful, and ambitious with experience ideally gained in practice in bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, management accounting and the preparation of limited company and group consolidated annual accounts.
The right person will have impeccable attention to detail, be an innovative thinker with a can do attitude and who can challenge current processes whilst immediately fitting into a friendly and established team in an approachable and professional manner.
Tasks & Responsibilities
• Management of Finance team – 3 heads, monitoring the day-to-day financial operations within Delga Group
• Preparing monthly management accounts pack for 6 legal entities including Group consolidation
• Supporting Group Finance Director with budgets & forecasting process for Profit & Loss, Cashflow and Balance Sheet
• Weekly & monthly sales & cash performance reporting
• Manage HSBC Invoice financing reconciliation and reporting
• Monthly Bank reconciliations
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations & reporting including key ratio analysis
• Monthly sales ledger closedown & Purchase ledger closedown
• Manage Fixed Asset Register including Journals and reconciliation
• Monthly journals & Reconciliation including Loan, Hire Purchase, Accrual & Prepayment schedules
• Intercompany reconciliation
• Quarterly VAT Return
• VAT EEC & Sales Intrastat reporting
• Supervising & approving payroll process
• Monthly Pension Submission
• Adhoc tasks as required
Skills required
• A sound understanding of financial and account concepts
• The ability to produce and analyse financial data and meaningful information
• The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant - ACA / ACCA
• Ideally with manufacturing experience and a good knowledge of SME businesses
• Ideally have at least three years’ experience at a similar level with direct report responsibility
• Recent Sage 200 experience, within 18 months
• Recent Sage payroll experience, within 18 months
• Strong excel skills
