Assistant Underwriting Project & Service Delivery Manager

This exciting and multi-faceted will incorporate a very broad spectrum of duties and responsibilities relating to supporting internal and external stakeholders to achieve effective service delivery.

You will support projects with existing partners and new business propositions co-ordinating with all areas of the business, such as finance, underwriting, IT, DUA,claims,marketing credit control, governance et a in order to support delivery on the group business plan.

The role will involve but is not limited to:

Support the delivery of the underwriting and client operational model.
Develop comprehensive and commercial client business cases for Underwriting, IT and operational changes and engage with relevant stakeholders to gain approval for these
Develop client solutions when delivering underwriting capability to ensure a high-quality product proposition
Review and develop client operational processes to maximise efficiency and meet agreed service levels
Support the drive towards a culture of innovation by constantly challenging the norm and encouraging continuous improvement
Lead underwriting operational team meetings and/or contribute to other departmental meetings to ensure that information, knowledge and best practise is shared and developed and adhered to
Adopt and adhere to underwriting governance processes and procedures to comply with all legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. money laundering and data protection) and internal standards to ensure obligations are met
Support the management of service level agreements with internally provided services including: Operations, IT, Finance, DUA, Wordings, Marketing, Credit Control, Internal audit and HR to ensure its continued relevancy and consistent delivery.
Support global teams with product development, risk management, operational processes and IT solutions
Act as an IT focal point and liaison for change funding to ensure the department has effective tools in place to support client needs
Develop and enhance governance and risk and control framework mitigating risk wherever possible
Support the overseeing of the risk framework for the department
Support the effective usage of Salesforce - Client Relationship management system in order to track pipeline business opportunities and enhance whole account view prospects

The successful individual will be degree educated, with excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with external clients and internal stakeholders. You will need to be well organised and able to manage and coordinate multiple work streams. Any experience across client service level agreements, client change, procedures and processes would be beneficial.
In terms of behaviours this role will suit someone who has enthusiasm to continue to learn and develop new and existing skills. Key attributes include working agile, being comfortable around customers, problem solving, tenacious and self-motivated.
