We are pleased to support a highly successful business in East Kent who are currently experiencing exciting growth in the recruitment of a Senior Purchasing Officer to support as small purchasing team.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate an understanding of Purchasing and ideally from a manufacturing environment and have a real dynamic and motivated approach to business.
Responsibilities & Key Skills
* Manage the performance of the purchasing team reporting directly to the Head of Purchasing.
* Set objectives, provide training and proactively develop and support the team to achieve their targets
* Manage queries including lead times on products and foster strong relationships with suppliers within the business to enhance business opportunities
* Proven Purchasing Knowledge and experience
* Excellent Communication skills, be an effective leader and motivator
* Proficient IT Skills (Word, Outlook and Excel)
* This newly created position is to enhance the capabilities of the team and you will provide motivation, management and leadership
