Social Enterprise Kent is an established and well-respected not for profit organisation. We deliver a range of training and community projects, working closely with other Kent businesses and VCSE organisations. As part of our new strategy, we are now recruiting for a Head of Training to manage our training business and support our business plan growth.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the SEK training team (5 employed staff with additional sessional trainers)
• Manage relationships with training customers, ensuring that they receive an excellent service from booking to course delivery, billing and follow up
• Manage the SEK training budget, including marketing
• Oversee quality of training delivery, including supporting with external compliance
• Meet sales targets for the training team, with monthly reporting to the CEO on sales vs budget and other KPIs
• Manage the SEK training sales and marketing, ensuring effective and timely promotion of SEK training courses, working with external and internal marketing support
• Maintain and develop relationships with external stakeholders, including Skills for Care, Kent Association of Training Operators, the Chamber of Commerce and other regional and national bodies
• Support with new business opportunities, including contracts and grants
• Develop new training courses in order to meet and exceed customer needs
• Work closely with other SEK departments, including employability, social prescribing, digital inclusion
• Attend committees and meetings on behalf of SEK as required
• Promote SEK training, and SEK, on social media
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including GDPR, Health and Safety
Candidate requirements:
• Leadership or management qualification
• Strong background in training sector (commercial/qualifications)
• Demonstrable commercial experience (eg managing budgets, sales, KPIs)
• Experience of managing a team
• Salesforce experience
