Premier Work Support has a fantastic permanent opportunity for a Transport Planner, to work with a rapidly growing business in the Dartford Area

Reporting into the Transport Supervisor, you will ensure that an efficient transport planning process is in place to meet agreed delivery schedules and customer requirements. You are responsible for optimising fleet use whilst achieving service levels, cost criteria and human resource commitments.

You will have excellent communication skills, be used to working in an FMGC business and have excellent attention to detail. You also need a full driving license for this role, extensive knowledge of the UK road network and a good understanding the Working Time Directive & EU Drivers Hours.

Duties include;
Manage delivery operation from drivers leaving site to drivers returning back to depot.
Daily data input of KPI's, daily delivery and collection issues, prepare paperwork for palletised deliveries
Report on accidents and vehicle damage
Meeting transport legislation commitments from a planning perspective
Monitoring fleet maintenance requirements and ensuring they are met as part of the planning process
Liaise with the supervisor to assess the driver and vehicle resource requirements daily to meet the delivery schedule and customer requirements
To continue own personal development to keep abreast of technical, legal and training best practice to maintain and improve the transport planning process
Meeting health & safety legislation commitments regarding the planning operation

Hours of work are Monday - Friday, 11.00am - 7.30pm
