A newly created temporary opportunity is available at the William Harvey Hospital as a Safety Support Officer.
You will be required to work on a shift pattern of 5/7 with a mixture of mornings, days and late evenings, as you will need to be in contact with staff who work all shift patterns. This will also include at least 1 Saturday or Sunday shift per week.
The role can be summarised as:

Undertaking a new individual Covid risk assessment or reviewing one completed more than six months ago for staff. Initially Facilities staff but this may extend to other department
*
This will entail a face to face discussion to complete the assessment and determine the most appropriate control measures applicable to that individual
*
You will be required to manage a master data sheet (excel) to track completion of assessments.
*
Completing paper assessments and following procedures as laid down by the company and obtaining signatures in accordance with the risk assessment and ensuring completion.
Skills needed are:
*
Good IT skills.
*
Excellent communication skills (written and inter-personal).
*
Ability to learn and follow procedures and processes quickly.
*
Prior experience, knowledge or understanding of Health and Safety and the completion of risk assessments.
This role will involve working with covid areas of the Hospital.
