Closing date: 9am 4th February 2021
Interview date: 11th and 12th February 2021

About us: Porchlight is a charity supporting people who are homeless, vulnerable and isolated. At Porchlight, we are passionate about helping vulnerable people to reach their full potential. We strive for a fairer society where vulnerable people find stability, the most excluded are included, and where homelessness and poverty are things of the past.

The role: Porchlight promotes a culture of seeking and listening to the views of people it supports in order to develop its services.

As an involvement worker, you will be responsible for helping people who Porchlight works with to have a say in how it’s run – both now and in the future.

You will help develop this culture of ‘involvement’ across the charity. This means creating meaningful opportunities for people we support to share their insights, and helping them gain the confidence to share their views (which will also teach them to draw on their own strengths when facing other challenges).

This role requires:
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Experience of collaborative / joint working
- A full driving licence and access to a car (subject to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and Equality Act 2010).

Benefits: As a member of the Porchlight team, you will have access to a wide range of employee benefits including:
- Free life insurance
- Flexible working hours
- 25 days holiday per year (increasing to 30 days after 5 years service) pro rata
- Porchlight pension scheme (contributions matched up to 7%)
- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme
