Porchlight wants to improve mental health crisis services for young adults (18-25) in Kent and Medway. You will develop an engagement programme that enables them to shape services and support.

You will develop the engagement programme, listening to insights from young adults who have experienced mental health crisis services or may use these in the future. You will also gather views from and engage with the services that support young adults.

The focus will be on finding ways to improve support at different stages, including addressing issues early on, to when specialist crisis help has ended.

You will also gain insights from others who have supported young adults in crisis. This includes family members, friends, work colleagues, as well as health and social care services in the community (including GP practices).

This role will involve developing strong links with other professionals and organisations, including colleges and universities. You will use tried and tested methods such as focus groups to engage young adults, as well as trying creative methods and initiatives.

The role requires:
- Experience of developing projects/services with others
- The ability to develop supportive and trusted relationships with young adults whilst maintaining professional boundaries
- The ability to develop strong working relationships with other professionals and organisations
- Experience of working independently and creatively with minimal day-to-day supervision
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.

Interview date: 24th August 2021
Contract: Permanent
Location: Role based in Kent and Medway with base to be discussed upon appointment with the option of home working.
Working Pattern: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility required

About Porchlight: Porchlight is passionate about helping vulnerable people to reach their full potential. We strive for a fairer society where vulnerable people find stability, the most excluded are included, and where everyone has a chance to thrive.

- Free life insurance
- Flexible working hours
- 25 days holiday per year (increasing to 30 days after 5 years service) pro rata
