TECHNICAL ASSISTANT to £35,000 - £45,000
Hybrid role with 2/3 days WFH
Working closely with the other Technical assistants in the department and Underwriters to create and maintain accurate information within in-house mainframe system
* Entering of renewals, endorsements and new business onto system
* Monitor and ensure that all risks entered onto system are correctly signed off by the Underwriter and all checklists are completed.
* Handling some aspects of administration of business generated by offices worldwide.
* Recording, monitoring and reporting of premiums.
* Ensuring that all Tax allocations presented with slips are accurate.
* Investigating differences between Estimated and Booked premiums.
* Identifying and reporting problems with the database.
* Scanning and Indexing of paper records and contractual documents.
* Reviewing slips and contract documents for correctness.
* Entering of FAC R/I into system
Personal Competences:
Essential -
* Energy/Power or Marine Insurance Experience
* Attention to detail
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Work as part of the team, share jobs
* Ability to work with a variety of people
* Numerate
* Articulate
* Ability to use own initiative
* Good organisational skills
* Good interpersonal skills
