School Exams Officer Job in Thanet.
Immediate start.



The Exams officer will ensure the management, administration and organisation of external examinations. This will be done in accordance with the relevant governing bodies. Must have school exam exams administration experience and proficiency on computer-based databases

Responsibilities:


* Maintain and promote a high standard of customer care, equal opportunities and health and safety practices
* Manage the running of examinations
* Collect exam material and store it securely
* Correctly stock and distribute exam stationary
* Count and monitor all exam papers
* Assist with the operational planning and quality assurance processes
* Provide an efficient, cost effective service to both those participating in exams and customers
* Ensure that examination papers/ assessments are managed securely and in line with regulations
* Data entry
* Ensure correct fees are paid and invoicing is correct
* Liaise with appropriate school staff with responsibility for subjects
* Ensure all access arrangements are up to date
* Participate in the recruitment of invigilators
* Attending the school to receive the results from awarding bodies
* Ensure candidates are appropriately briefed
* Liaising with the Awarding Body Inspector
* Ensuring all procedures and regulations are up to date
* Reviewing the running of public examinations
* Handling and reporting incidents to Headteacher and relevant staff
* Produce examination timetables
* Order stationary needed for examinations
* Check registers
* Ensure correct paperwork is provided for pupils with extra time
* Number and name candidate desks
* Ensure all appropriate paperwork is sent to the examination boards
* Make applications for remarking of papers/ assessments and process the remarks
* Ensuring the coding is all done correctly


The working basis of this role is full-time (37 hours per week) during term time. Monday- Friday.

Applicants must have a DBS completed or be happy to have a DBS put into process.
