Are you an experienced Plant Fitter with experience in the Asphalt industry? My client are currently looking to recruit a Plant Fitter to work full time at their Asphalt Plant based in Croydon. Their Croydon Asphalt Plant is easily accessible from a number of areas including Thornton Heath, West Wickham and Merton.

The Plant Fitter Role:

As their Plant Fitter you will help with the general maintenance, planned and reactive repairs of fixed and mobile plant at their Croydon Asphalt Plant.

Responsibilities of their Plant Fitter

- Ensuring that all aspects of the Asphalt and Mobile Plant maintenance are carried out in accordance with the requirements of all statutory legislation

- Operating producing and reviewing, risk assessments, method statements, permits to work and procedures for maintenance tasks.

- Ensuring that all plant and equipment is subject to planned preventative maintenance scheme and inspection.

- Keeping the site in a safe worthy condition, in order to work safely, optimise plant availability and efficiency within operational budgets.

- Operating in a collaborative manner with all operations personnel as required and encourage continuous improvement.

- Inducting contractors as required by the company corporate procedure.

- Travelling to and supporting other sites with maintenance in the event of breakdowns and or planned maintenance shutdowns

What they are looking for in their Plant Fitter

To be considered for this role you must have previous experience within the Asphalt industry. You will have prior mechanical fitting knowledge with demonstrable skills. Mobile plant operation with driving and servicing knowledge is highly beneficial to succeed within this position.
