Are you looking to develop your experience and skills in event management? If so, we would welcome your application to this one year fixed term opportunity supporting the planning and delivery of events at the University of Kent.

Working with the Corporate Events Manager, you will assist in the organisation of a range of student, alumni and corporate engagement events, in particular the graduate celebrations being planned for 2022. The role will see you putting to use your experience in venue management, coordinating caterers, contractors and equipment hire and utilising your aptitude for managing competing demands and deadlines while remaining professional and working flexibly throughout.

As Corporate Events Coordinator you will:
provide support to the Corporate Events Manager with the successful planning, administration and delivery of a programme of high quality corporate engagement events, including the logistics for each event;
assist in the administration of University undergraduate and postgraduate congregations, contributing to successful delivery and smooth running of the ceremonies;
act as a point of contact within the Corporate Events Team and assist with enquiries;
edit the websites for congregations and corporate events, and publish information on social media.

To be successful in this role you will have:
experience of working in an events /relevant marketing communications administration role;
excellent organisation and planning skills;
excellent written communication skills (including proof reading skills) with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
good IT skills particularly MS Office packages.

The Development and Alumni Relations team is responsible for alumni relations and fundraising, corporate events and congregations (graduation ceremonies) at Kent.
