Deputy Head of Charity
Salary £45000- £49000 37 Hours per week
We are a parent-driven charity playing a vital role supporting disabled children, young people children and their families, living in the Dartford, Gravesham and Sevenoaks areas. We provide a range of Family Advice, Information, Support and Short Break Services to our membership.
Now more than ever we are all aware of how much these services are needed, and what a difference they can make. Demand for Beams services has never been higher, and last year we supported record numbers across all services. We work closely with other partners, including, local authorities, the NHS, corporate partners, philanthropists and foundations.
To enable the future success of Beams we are looking to introduce a new role of Deputy Head of Charity, to develop our next phase working alongside the current Head of Charity.
We are looking for an exceptional leader who is inspirational and collaborative in equal measure. The vision and values that underpin the charity will be central to their approach and they will demonstrate strategic thinking, commercial and financial acumen. They will need to show that they can develop and inspire change with emotional intelligence and resilience, and take people with them, inside and outside the charity. They will be responsible for the operational management of the charity, including line management of the Service Managers. Successful applicants should have a proactive work ethic, be a willing team member. be enthusiastic, positive and flexible and have a good sense of humour. An understanding of disability is essential.
The post is full time at 37 hours per week, based at our Resource Centre in Hextable Kent. The ability to work flexibly and at evenings and weekends is required. A full clean driving licence is desirable.
Successful applicants will need to have an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
