Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Control Assistant to join their busy team in Thanet.

In conjunction with the Finance Manager and the Finance Director, the Credit Control Assistant helps maximise revenue and mitigate credit risks.

The Credit Control Assistant will possess strong critical thinking and decision making skills. You will be excited to collaborate with our sales and marketing departments to implement an effective credit control system and resolve issues. You should have experience interacting and working with customers to ensure their needs are met and their credit fits in with the current risk portfolio.

Responsibilities:

* Maintenance and day-to-day handling of both sales, ensuring timely payments and settlements of funds.
* Processing payment allocations.
* Account reconciliation.
* Credit checking and setting credit limits dependent upon credit score.
* Investigating outstanding balances.
* Communicating in a friendly and professional manner on the phone and send relevant correspondence via email and letter.
* Light cleaning duties and ensuring that the office is always kept clean and tidy.
* Filing and other general administration duties.
* Inform managers of any serious general issues or any customer issues as they occur.
* To assist in maintaining accurate and confidential personnel files.
* To assist in maintaining accurate account forms.



Key Skills

* Ability to communicate effectively with all members of staff at all levels.
* Proven organisational skills, including planning and problem solving.
* Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
* Familiarity with data entry and analysis
* Building, maintaining and enhancing effective working relationships.
* Proven record in delivering excellent customer service and meeting customer expectations.
* The ability to listen to customers and negotiate winning solutions
* A conscientious, proactive and positive approach to duties.
* Flexible working attitude.
* Good working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft word and Excel.
