Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Responsible for assisting in all machinery, plant and building maintenance factory.
To undertake responsibility for the analysis and repair of Mechanical & Electrical maintenance.
Basic Hydraulic, Pneumatic and PLC Knowledge is an advantage

Role

To ensure all H&S, hygiene and quality control procedures are adhered to.
To repair breakdowns of factory equipment efficiently.
To maintain equipment in accordance with agreed schedules.
To ensure the service and work area is kept clean and tidy.

The nature of the position means that you will work in an environment with moving machinery and with a constant level of noise while the machines are powered up or running. Protective equipment is supplied

As a Maintenance Engineer you are expected to be self-reliant, able to take decisions quickly on own behalf

You must show an ability to be able to follow internal procedures, written and verbal instructions and be able to communicate machine or breakdown situations effectively to your colleagues. The work is very hands on, and training is given "on the job".

£15 per hour based on a standard 40 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 6am-4pm for a period of three months, referred to as the probationary period. After probationary period it will rise to £15.91 per hour 40-hour week but rotating between days and nights on a weekly basis, 6am-4pm and 8pm-6am Monday to Thursday.

After completion of the probationary period, you will then start a qualifying year where an additional yearly attendance bonus will be paid. There is also a production bonus paid monthly
